Amazon Fire

Amazon Fire tablets have great parental control feature called Amazon Kids, previously called Kindle FreeTime. We highly recommend enabling it. YouTube website is blocked in child’s profile by default. (You don’t need the paid subscription Amazon Kids+ for that.)

Here’s how to set up Amazon Kids on your Fire tablet:

1. From Home, tap Apps, and then tap Amazon Kids.
2. Tap Get Started.
3. Enter a password.
4. From the Add Child Profile screen, select Tap to set photo to add a profile picture.
5. Enter your child’s name, birthdate, and gender, and then tap Next. If you’d like to create additional profiles, tap Add Another Child.After setting up Amazon Kids, add Safe Vision app to your child’s profile. A profile must have content to finish setting up Amazon Kids.
6. Tap Done to save all settings and create the profile.

Once your child’s profile is ready for them to use, tap their profile icon to enter their profile.
